Carney: “no merit” to U.S. interference claims

In Istanbul on October 23, Carney said there is “no merit” to the U.S. Embassy's claims that Canadian politicians are interfering ahead of the U.S. midterms, and said he was disappointed in Ambassador Pete Hoekstra. Canadian diplomats were told this week not to meet U.S. midterm candidates.
