The Winnipeg Jets were down 4–0 in Montreal with less than three minutes left on Tuesday night. They scored four goals in 2:06, won 5–4 in overtime, and recorded the latest four-goal comeback in NHL history.

The 2:06 that flipped the game

Tyrel Bauer started the rally at 17:21 of the third period, scoring his first NHL goal after Dylan DeMelo's dump-in took a bounce off the left boards. Morgan Barron made it 4–2 at 18:03, shooting on a 2-on-1 and beating Jacob Fowler off the crossbar.

Kyle Connor then scored twice with Stuart Skinner pulled for the extra attacker. His one-timer at 19:00 cut the lead to 4–3, and his second one-timer, on the power play at 19:27, deflected in off Noah Dobson's stick to tie the game 4–4 with 33 seconds left.

The four goals in 2:06 are also the fastest four goals in Jets franchise history, ahead of four in 2:16 on November 9, 1984. The comeback eclipsed the previous NHL mark for the latest four-goal rally, set by the Los Angeles Kings on November 10, 2007.

The winner

Dylan Samberg completed the comeback at 3:30 of overtime. Gabriel Vilardi took the puck from Lane Hutson along the boards, Adam Lowry fed the cutting Samberg, and Samberg scored from the right circle.

Winnipeg snapped a nine-game winless streak (0-7-2) and won for the first time since October 13. The Jets are 5-8-3. Skinner made 18 saves.

How Montreal built the lead

Owen Beck opened the scoring at 3:05 of the first period, and Josh Anderson made it 2–0 at 18:18. Cole Caufield scored two power-play goals, the second 46 seconds into the third period, to put Montreal up 4–0.

Montreal is 9-3-3 and lost for the first time in six games. Fowler was beaten five times after carrying a shutout into the final three minutes of regulation.
