Published Wednesday, October 28, 2026

Vancouver's ten-game losing streak is over, and it ended the hard way. The Canucks trailed Anaheim 5–2 late in the third period on Tuesday night, then scored three times to force overtime — Lekkerimaki with two goals in the final three minutes — before Filip Hronek won it 6–5 with 10.4 seconds left in the extra period, on a two-man advantage.

Merilainen made 18 saves for Vancouver; Dostal stopped 27 for Anaheim. The Canucks move to 3-10-1, with a first win since October 3. Next: at San Jose on Thursday, then home to the Maple Leafs on Saturday.
